| The Mercer County Sheriff's Office offers fingerprinting services for licensing and employment purposes. The fee for this service is $10.00. Please contact the jail at (309) 582-5020 ahead of time to ensure that an officer will be available to fingerprint you when you arrive. All persons wishing to be fingerprinted are subject to search by jail staff before entering the facility. The Mercer County Sheriff's Office also periodically conducts free fingerprinting for children. Children's fingerprints are useful in conjunction with DNA swabbing, as a part of Child Safety Kits.
